Noises from upstairs---too loud, it lasts 10 days

i live on the 10th floor, recently, people upstairs have been making noises for more than 10 days, u know they are decorating the interior room, i really can't bear the sound of electronic sawing, banging of hammers, u know they start working from 8:00 am, and won't stop until 7:00 pm, it annoys me so much that i'd rather knock my head on the wall than staying in my apartment lol. what can i do? they wanna their inner house more attractive, but i always work at home. :(

Well you could talk to them about starting later and stopping earlier but if you do that it will take them longer. they are putting in almost 12 hour days so it should be done soon. When it gets to be to much go for a walk. Or if you aren't on the phone a lot try ear plugs.

you know, i'm a shy and quiet guy, lol, i dare not go and speak with the people upstairs, lol, and ask them to stop the decor earlier or things like that, the only thing i can do is that, as u suggest, put on a pair of ear plugs. poor me. lol however, it's story happening a month ago, now it is back to normal again.

Well maybe you could talk to the building administration about this. they might be able to help you with your problem about the building noises. I think that is the best way you could do with it. I just hope that everything will be solved in time.
