how many of us practise our faith

This question comes to my mind quite often. Do we really practise our faith. Do we practise what we preach. Do we live our religion whichever religion we follow. All religions end up teaching the same values. Love, peace, understanding, helping, etc. Do we really know the meaning of love and can die for the love of another person. I wont. Would i go out of way to make peace between 2 people, 2 nations, i would give it a try but the sooner i realize things getting personal and fingers raised on me i quit. Helping others, i would do that again so some extent but not to the extent where if i had only 2 set of clothes that i would give 1 set to other and try to help the other person. We practise all of these values but to the level of our comforts, the moment it gets personal or close to our hearts we try to shrug it off. How many agree?

Yes, i agree with you that we are practicing our Christianhood to the level of our comforts because we are human yield to be easily presuaded. However, the question is, do you hold your faith to the end? I would say, i do the best i can and tried hold tightly my faith in times i am yield to give-up! I might be a person of not worrying about tomorrow but i am a person who is afraid of who i will be f on that tomorrow. I want that at a time where God is calling, I want Jesus to lead me to the room where i can rest with great peace and joy of just praising Him!

I completly agree with you! I think that if more people practiced what they preached then maybe the world would be a kinder place to live. I know that I'm by far not perfect. And I dont expect any one person in the world is perfect! If everyone took the time out to do more for others around them, or even in general it would turn things a lot. Look at how selfish this world has become! If there is nothing in it for you will you still do it? Will you still be willing to be so "generous" , I mean even donations people do just to be able to claim it on taxes. Why not just give with out having to recieve something in return! Good post! Thanks for sharing your opinion! proudmommyof2

i've messed up plenty. that's why i need Jesus. Bottom line, my life...my heart, is His. He works with me...I grow. It takes time but I'm in it for the long haul. He's real. And, there's really nothing else.
