Hi,This must have happened to a lot of people, Or mybe its happened only to me. This was say 2 days ago, usually when i return home from work i generally buy my veges and fruits for the next 2 days while coming home. I knew very well that i had a limited amount of money in my wallet. so i purchased a couple of things. When i reached my bus stop to stand in the que, there was this cart standing full of nice mangoes. It caught my attention and felt tempted i looked in my wallet and then thought i cud squeez some in. While i purchased a kg of it, again while handing the money i looked in my pocket to realise if i pay for the fruits i wud b short of a couple of rupees for my bus fare. So, instead of bargaining for the price, i just told the vendor pls remove a mango n reduce the price. He must have noticed me calculating n checking my wallet so asked me 'wats the problem'.I told him my issue. I was suprised by his gesture. He coolly said Ohh you shud have told me so and returned 2 rupees for my bus fare instead. I was overwhelmed by this as i knew for sure that the price he was taking for the fruit was very reasonable. Sometimes you come across such wonderfull things that makes you think over on life, that sometimes a small gesture helps alot.

i know the feeling . one day I had bought more food than I could easily carry on the bus so called a cab, and the cabbie inisted on carryiing my groceries to my appt.door. when I went to hand him my fare he just shook his head, and called, mama, have a nice day and left me standing there with my mouth open. He did that for nothing. what a person, wow that would never happen to me again but it was a really wonderful feeling. something made him refuse to take my fare. I sure did need the money.

hi zabmer. I think that there are many friendly people, but not always we have a chance to interact with such people often. Such a little thing can make both you and this man smile. It is a little good act which brings good vibrations:). This man treats his clients like humans, not like objects. It is really nice to know that not only bad things happen:). Have a nice day, jazgottt.

Reading this was a great way to start the day. It is so inspiring to know that there are still people like the Mango Man out there who look to help people before increasing their bottom lines. This just goes to show that no matter what our situation in life, we can always find away to help someone other than ourselves. This was such an inspirational piece and I thank you for sharing it with all of us!
