Hi Dorothy,
I am the "boss" of about 50 people. As such, I appreciate when somebody tells me their opinion as long as they do it in a polite and respectful way. I would certainly not recommend talking back as that can lead to dismissal. However if you present your opinion in a thoughtful way any good boss will appreciate that. Also, remember, often your boss has their boss as well, and they are usually telling them what to do, so your immediate boss does not always have a choice.
cheers,

Hi golfproo, I for one has a strong personality. As long as I am on a right place I will respectfully reason out..

As a supervisor I would suggest that you talk back. You use the word nagger??? More than likely your boss has a boss that is nagging on them because things have to be a certain way. Now if the boss is complaining about other employees or something personal I would suggest for you to speak back and say honestly I do not see the reason why you would be discussing this issue with me.
Good Luck

Sometimes I think they are just so pressure and talking too much would be there outlet to release stress and the feeling of being pressured..

I never talk back unless I am ready to quit. Bosses are often insecure and when they talk all the time they are just trying to use their power to reassure themselves that they are right. I bet they are meek as a mouse with their own bosses.
