Is someone watching your every move?

There are cameras going up all over the world. You can't go very far without being caught by the eye in the sky. Satalites are watching from space. Is there anything such as privacy anymore? How do you feel about all of these cameras watching what you are doing? Recording your every move. One day they will want to install cameras in your home. If you refuse they will get them in there somehow. Don't look now but you are being watched. Maybe I am just paranoid. What do you think?

Who's knows - Be Prepaired so questions don't go unanswered I guess, safety comes first!
Well it deffinately fits the whole internet world, i mean if they can make a "bug" to eat your files, who's to say they cant flip your camera on and watch whatever is in view, i mean holy cow, lol I am already making it a habit to leave my camera face down when I am not intending on using it, everything makes sense, and yes i think they are that smart. Scarry but so true!! Just be carefull, and not be so trusting, i mean we wouldnt just let a person off the street walk in and take a nap, right. Good topic, lots of intrest here!

View of Earth from a satelite - When will they finally realize that we are stuck here together. It's bad enough we can't walk down the street without wondering if we're being watched much less one day worrying that it might come into our homes.
It's frightening to think that you can be in your own home and soon enough they expect to be able to watch you through your own camera on your computer. even if you've never been in trouble before you could be suspected of anything and watched from the satelites like you said. That is the price of being in a paranoid society, and worse off under the rule of a parnoid government. I love my country the United States, but it is defiantely worrisome.

I too love my country. The government worries me. The internet was made public and exploded. Now we are communicating with people we would never have had the chance to meet. One day there will be subscription services to watch the webcams of the unsuspecting. Better watch those terms of service agreements you check that you have read on websites before you install that next free program. It may target your webcam with your permission. eek...what a thought.

Tell me about it. But is it best Not to think about it? Just to pretend that they are not there or that they are only used for good purposes? I think not.

The technology already exists where we can be spied upon through our walls. It's already in use, actually. So, there is really no need to install cameras inside our homes, if Big Brother wanted to watch us and listen to us now, they could do it.

Not necessarily big brother. What about anyone with programming capabilities who could add a little line in there terms of service contract saying that you agree to allow them to control your webcam (if one is connected) with there program and forgo copyright of the information they obtain using it? I know it is a stretch but there are some freaky people out there in this world.

Someone will one day work on reverse engineering for your webcam and use it to watch you. I hope your not doing anything you shouldn't in front of the computer! heh

Thanks for the BR Scrub! Sorry it took me nearly a week to pick up on the fact that you have come back. It seems a number of my friends have been away from myLot for a while now. Like Suitsme, Sunsix and svalbard. Anj has not logged on in three months now and vikingswest is up to seven months. I see it has been a couple of months for lauriefnp, Angrykitty and dreadstar hasn't been seen in seven months! Finally MaxPower1971 and feralcat have not logged in 5 and 6 months respectively.

Hey RealIolo, it's nice to be missed. I have been quite busy with real life activities. MyLot has had to take a backseat to these affairs. I will stop in someday soon.

I hope life is smiling on you scrub! I had a good holiday season and I wish this for everyone else as well. High hopes as we enter this new year. Yes, with more data I am sure we can all home in on your living area now from outer space. I can find most places now but it helps to know the geography first.

Big Eye - photo of a small child looking through a magnifying glass.
I never worry about anything that I have no control over. If that's what it's coming to, so be it. I have nothing to hide so it wouldn't bother me in the least. My actions would be a very boring video....it wouldn't be worth anything on the market. So after a couple of seconds I'm sure they would turn their cameras onto someone that would be more interesting. I can see it now....Smile, you're on Satelite Eye!!!!!

My sentiments exactly. I cannot control what others do. It does concern me though as my life has been overcomplicated by the actions of others.

Spy Camera - photo of a TV receiving images from a spy camera.
I could care less one way or the other. If I had one in my home one thing is for sure it wouldn't sell on the market. It would be an horrendous waste of time and money. My life is an open book, I have nothing to hide, so if they want to be bored to tears then so be it.

I feel that way too to the point that I feel that there are "cameras" everywhere. In my house, privacy isn't in my mom's dictionary. She meddles w/my things and my life and she even read my diary just like an open book.I imposed the rule "knock before you enter" in our room (I share room w/my sister)but she's the only one who does not follow.I reminded her in a nice way to at least knock but she took it badly so she beat me up like an animal but I retaliated so she never touched me again. She didn't know that a partially disabled person like me can be so strong!
