If You're Brave Enough, Would You Apprehend Him?
Or Would You Call The Police First?
Lat night, there was a burglar on my roof. I was still online and posting here when suddenly I heard someone walking on the roof. It was loud enough because it was creaking. I wanted to see if there is really someone, so, I went up and checked. I was carrying a knife on one hand and the wireless phone on the other. I need to see because it might just be those cats from my neighbor's backyard. Upon confirmation, I called the Village Security and reported. Of course I didn't go out on the terrace for fear that he might be just lurking around and ready to pounce on me.

Three things I think. 1. Call the police. 2. Find the ladder and remove it. 3. Ask him to take down the old TV antenna whilst he's up there. In your case I'd do just the same as you. Minus the knife because in this country whilst he might go to prison, so would I!

There have been a number of cases in the UK where people have tried to defend themselves and have hurt or killed the burglar whilst doing it. The Police will prosecute in those circumstances and people can and do go to prison for it. Sometimes the burglar gets off or has a reduced sentence in consideration of their injuries. It's a mad world!

It sounds scary and I would do the same thing you did and call the police. I hate hearing sounds in the night, it's just creepy! I'm glad you are ok.
