For all Tribe fans, I would like to share this with you about a piece with the Tribe. Now, this year has been how you say embarassing to say the least. I know and I don't like this anymore than anyone else. There have been injuries and that hasn't helped this team out but there have been problems. So many uncertain questions whether they keep CC or don't. I don't have the answer and I wish I could help. http://www.sportales.com/Baseball/What-is-Wrong-with-the-Cleveland-Indians.126624 This was written a little over a month ago so information may be outdated. Would you agree that this season has been embarassing and most importantly, will this team ever put together the right combination to win a championship? Personally, I'm tired of this rebuild to next year and it turns out to be another failure. It really stuns me on how this team almost made the World Series and now tied for last place. Talk about a shocking turn of events. Unless this team catches fire in the 2nd half, they have no chance of salvaging this season. I hope you enjoy and please fill free to give your thoughts on it.

I'm a Braves fan, but I root for the Indians in the American League. I have been disappointed about how they have done so far. I really thought they would have a good year this year. I guess I am a little late responding, but they have traded C.C. to Milwaukee now. I guess it was a good move in the long run because that outfielder they got is supposed to be legit. I hate that they did it though because it seems they just threw in the towel. I guess back to rebuilding. Heres to a Braves-Indians World Series.

Maybe it will happen again someday. Maybe it will. It just gets to the point of what's the point of having any hope anymore. Yeah they got rid of him but the only thing that will justify the move so much would be the World Series championship. What bothers me isn't so much the CC trade but the common theme, when a player gets to becoming a star, the Indians just get rid of them. Why does this happen constantly to this team?

It's been a tough season, and with them parting with CC this year (if there was still any doubt) is officially done. I do think though that the future is still bright. They've got 2 new aces in Lee and Carmona. If they can get Pronk and Victor healthy that's two key bats we've been missing most of the year. It's becoming clear which players are legit and which are over hyped (Gutierrez, Marte, Asdrubal, Barfield, Garko). We still have Grady, LaPorta should be special in LF RF or 1B, our draft pick last year Beau Mills should be a major bat in the lineup soon at 1B, Victor at C, Hafner at DH. We have Trevor Crowe in the minors who if he can get healthy should push Grady into the 3 spot as he can really run and is more of a true leadoff guy. Adam Miller in the minors has all this potential but injuries have slowed him too. With him healthy he could be a new ace on this team. The major questions for me are the bullpen, and the infield 2B 3B and SS. The bullpen being so bad after such a great year last year is hard to explain, but as with so many teams, the bullpen can make or break any season. Hopefully Asdrubal or Barfield can turn it around at 2B, if not there's going to have to be a move made there. Many people question Peralta's ability to play short and whether he could play third, or should he be dealt elsewhere? At third we'll either have Peralta, or a move will definitely have to be made. It is clear Marte has to go. So I think there is certainly reason to be hopeful for next year, but there are some questions that need to be answered. It will be interesting to see what other moves will be made by Shapiro to help the club. One thing to remember...we didn't give Milwaukee a negotiating window on CC, and they're not likely to resign him as a free agent, I don't think it's completely ridiculous to see him possibly come back. I know it's a long shot, but it's not completely out of the question.

I don't think it is out of the question at all. The odds are about 5% chance of that happening but at least there is a chance. Thanks for responding. I would like to see Westbrook develop into a solid starter but the injury bug has gotten him way too much. I think he just needs to keep himself healthy and come back only when healthy. Lee and Carmona could become aces and that's going to be needed. I just hope if they start doing really well, they're not going to be traded away just like that. It gets annoying though I understand why with CC, it's just annoying. Hafner I'm a bit concerned about and am not sure if he'll return to hitting. He's been on the decline it seems. If he does make a comeback, then there you go and he proves everyone wrong. Victor I think can be fine. He just needs to worry about healing up and being at his best. Did you see Shapiro's press conference? I'm not sure what to think except maybe he's trying to convince everyone. Personally, it sounded like he didn't care about winning but that's just me. If a championship is brought to Cleveland, I guarantee that Shapiro will be forgiven. It's not so much about a bright future, the fans want a winner and need to be assured of it and not settle for anything less. I hope they seriously do fix the bullpen greatly. That needs to be repaired instantly.
