Just curious to find out what name do you give to your dog. I want to adopt one dog, and thinking of what name to give.

We always wait and see what the pups personality is before we name it. Our akita is named Shilo it just fit her. Our daschound is named Corkie cause when he walked he looked like a cork bobbing in the water.

Oic, a labrador. The name 'lazo' sounds nice. maybe you can try up lazo to be more obedient.

I adopted my dog. He's a pitt mix and because of his looks I named him Saber (like saber tooth tiger) although he doesn't look a like a saber tooth tiger he does kinda of look like a "tiger" so i thought it fitted him. plus it's not a real common name.. I've never meet another dog named "saber" good luck on getting a pet. I hope he/she is good one. It'll be easier to name them after you meet them and see what they look like and get an idea of their personality.

Depends on the breed you choose? I have had bassetts and my favorite name was benny basset. But we have had Sherlock and Watson, Fred and Ethel, Flash, etc..whatever works for your breed! Naming the puppy can be fun! Celebrities work well. If a girl and she's funny looking, maybe giev her a name that makes her sound gorgeous? Liz atylor, etc...HAVE FUN!

I have five dogs. An australian shepherd name Shiloh, an australian shepherd/terrier named Shelby, a black lab mix named Midnight, a mini-schanuzer named Rocky and one named Fritz. I'm like a lot of people, I pick the puppy then pick the name after I've had it for a few days. Usually something pops in my head after I've had it for awhile. Have a great day! Char:-)

It seems like most of you use the same method to give name to your dog. Wait for a few days before giving name. Thanks.
