I believe my daughter has done this a time or two. I scold her for it, of course. I do not want her to go drawing on walls, carpets, herself, or the like. I tell her that she only draws on paper that she's been given for drawing or pages of a coloring book. I do not, however, pretend that she can get ink poisoning.
If that were possible, they would have kid-safe ink. The greatest danger would not be getting it on their skin, but rather, a kid chewing on a pen and ingesting some.

have never had an issue with my kids drawing on themselves. Any marks that they have on their skin are accidental while drawing or coloring with markers.
I thought that was just a myth made up by parents who did not want their kids to draw on themselves.

I know you cant get it simply with just drawing on yourself BUT its a way of getting my son to stop drawing on himself. My son is old enough to know better. i can understand my 2 year old doing it but not my 7 year old. He draws wrestlers names and i forget the other things the kids have drawn on him but i dont care much for it.

I used to tell my kids the same thing but I don't think they listened to me either. Actually, the only one who was bad about drawing on himself was my son...a boy...whatta surprise!
