When I take a family vacation I always take my laptop with me, just because I know that where I'm staying they usually have free high speed internet access. I usually use my laptop to download picture off my camera. I also use it to surf for locals things to do, check out the local weather and sometime catch up with emails. Of course I use my laptop at the end of the day or on down time. How about you all, do you take your laptop with you on vacation?

I like to take my laptop with me when I travel for business or for vacation, laptop is really good for me to check every kind of information which i am interested in or I need, such as booking tickets, receiving or sending emails, stocks information and sales, download pictures off my camera, sth else like you have mentioned here, really convenient for work or vacation. I really don't know how to do if I leave my laptop at home.

Hi, I will never bring my laptop when I go for vacation. I think that bringing my laptop along will make my luggage heavier and it is hard for me to bring it around.

I just got a laptop. So I haven't brought it on any vacations yet. But I am thinking about bringing it along when I leave for Florida. Unfortunately my battery needs replaced, so I won't be able to use it at all or very long on the drive down there.

I always take my laptop with me. Like you, I download any pictures I've taken for the day so as to clean my card off for the next day. I also wrote some articles I had due on my last vacation. Some of the articles I write have deadlines so I had to get them done. It's nice having the laptop for keeping in touch with friends also.

No, when I'm on vacation I'm not take my laptop. On my vacation I'll forget all my works, switch off and just enjoy the leisure time. Thats will be a good time.

I take my laptop as well. I just need it for everything. I have the broadband internet to where I can use it wherever I am. I hate not knowing where I'm going and getting lost and with my laptop it won't be too bad. I also download my pictures of my camera onto my computer that way it doesn't build up too much and I have to wait a long time for all of them to download. I like to type a lot as well, so I like to type about each day and so forth.

I don't take it with me usually. I just bring my cellphone and leave my laptop at home. Unless, I go on a business trip, I'd better leave it at home. One time, I brought my laptop with me, I forgot to check if the hotel room has an in room safe deposit box. When I got to the hotel room, I can't find one. Bad luck. The whole vacation time, I had to bring along my laptop with me because I can't leave it in the hotel room. It is easier to have a smart phone and bring it while having a vacation. It can be used for surfing the internet and checking emails without putting more weight.

each time i leave my country and go for vacation, i feel sad because i dont take my laptop with me. i just have too many luggages and the laptop would have been only "not welcomed" there. when im on vacation, i miss terribly too much internet. i often think im an internet addict. but once i turn back from the vacation, i use the computer for 2-3 hours and then it doesnt seem interesting to me.

I take mine because I like to watch movies and keep up with my e-mails. Also it gives me something to do if I have extra time and nothing to do. It's also great to look up local adventures and things to do. I even bring it if I don't use it, I just like to know it's there. It's my lifeline.
