Do you ever get on here with a bad attitude and just rant?

I am being very snippy in my comments, mostly on news, today. I don't think I'm going to post any tirades, but I definitely have not been worrying about how my comments are perceived. I understand that is a pretty healthy attitude, but I know words can be powerful and I try not to upset people. Is that so bad? When it comes down to a choice between the following, is it better to speak your mind or be overtly understanding and accepting?

There were a couple of times in the past that I get on here at myLot in a bad mood. However, no matter how bad my day is or was, I do not let it affect my activities here at myLot. I think that no matter how kind the words you use here when people perceive them wrongly, it can upset them without you even exerting effort. But being a little careful about the words we use and how they are stated would minimize the possibility of conflicts.

It's best to speak your mind. There are some people that will refuse to see the truth unless they have it shoved in front of them.
I'm kinda snippy in some of my comments sometimes. It's just that some of the questions and comments on here can be a bit deserving of a sharp answer at times.
