I am to have a day of summer tomorrow......apparently!

I live in UK and our summer started a few weeks ago, only it did not, the weather has been pants and we have had no summer at all.
Now, the last week has been cack, with wind and rain and just utter rubbish but tomorrow, tomorrow the weather lady told me that we are going to have a beautiful summers day, with temperatures going into the 80's YIPPEEEEEE. Sunshine for gemini-rose at last! I cannot wait, please that it does not rain!!!
Now, the only thing is, it is only going to be tomorrow, it is back to rain on weds and thurs so I am going to make the most of it!!
So, if you were told that you were only going to have ONE good summers day through your summer, what would you do on that one day?
How would you make the most of it?

Here in the Caribbean area, we enjoy summer time, 365 days a year, Except during huracain season; there is no winter season as to speak, just a mild change in temperature. Right now is so hot and humid, I would like to be in Alaska.

Then I may have to come and visit for a few weeks of the year. It was nice here today until this evening and now it is raining again.

I did not even get one day, it was half. THEN it rained for the rest of it and for the next two days. Today I have had a bit of sun, as soon as the sun came out I ran and sat out in it fast, leaving my clothes on, didnt want to scare it off!

I wish you lovely sunny days whenever possible my friend.
My days are opposite to yours...glorious sunny days really cold indoors and at night and we are desperate for rain. On our lovely sunny days I make sure to do a couple of chores outside and I like to walk with my animals round my huge back yard. Wish we could swap somehow.

Ahhh thank you, it would be nice if wishes worked like that and then I could send you some refreshing rain in return. We have plenty of it at the moment and by all accounts plenty more over the next few weeks. So looks like no summer for the Brits yet again. Oh well!

Im not sure where the summer has gone Rose,its bee raining here on and off all of the morning and im like the majority I need to get some washing dry!If I had one day of summer I would spend it wandering in and out of my own back door ,walking up and down the garden path,do a little bit of weeding and just enjoy feeling the heat on my back,it would be great.

We've had a bit more rain than usual ourselves. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't so hot and humid!
If I knew we'd only have 1 day of nice weather I'd spend it at the beach.

I would kill to have a miserable, overcast UK summer. I miss those a lot. Here in the Midwest, it's been in the nineties or higher for well over a month, and it's horribly humid with it. I'm British, I'm not supposed to have nice weather. I'll end up shrivelled and dehydrated.

Typical Brit, never satisfied with what we have Hee hee! I know what you mean though, we are just not built for hot weather, I moan like mad when it is too hot and moan even more when it is too cold! I bet my next discussion will be whinging I am too hot tomorrow!

Come to sunny California, nearly everyday around here is summer, and in some places that summers are far hotter than others. Some are hot enough to cook food on the street. Just let everything sit in the sun.

We had weeks of wonderful weather very early on up here in Scotland and it was amazing! Now we have been dull and dreary for weeks but as long as the rain stays away most of the time I am quite happy! If there was only going to be one good day I would love to spend it at the beach but I am not sure if I could stand the crowds so we would probably take a nice drive into the countryside and have a lovely picnic at the side of a crystal clear river where we could play in the cool water! xxx

Be glad that the hot weather has not come as of yet. When it does you will be saying that it's to hot and you wish that it would rain or something. Right now the weather here(USA) has be hot. It has not rained enough so far this summer and hope that it does rain a little more that what it has. The hot weather didn't come when I thought that it would around May. But when it came it was hot outside and that was that. So don't rush the hot, it will come when it comes. Have a good one.

Wow - if I was only allowed to have one nice day, I'd probably curl up in bed for the rest of the year and not get out at all, EVER! As I get older, I feel I hate winter with a passion. I can't get warm enough, and I hate the feeling of layering on lots of clothes. It's miserable getting undressed to have a shower, and it's miserable getting up in the morning. It's horrible going out for walks in the wind and rain, too! I don't like really hot, still weather, but warm with a nice breeze is perfect!

Hi there gemini, nice avatar! Looks very cool! Being in that situation, I will be making the most of it by going out, swimming and stay under the heat of the sun! I know how you guys miss sunshine if that is your case there, with us here, we still got rain but it's like 3 times a week so we still get sunshine, but for me this is still weird!

Hello dear gemini rose. It rained for a few days and we don't have much sunshine, but it is now morning, 7:06 a.m. The sun is shining brightly with some white clouds floating in the blue sky and some morning breeze, so soothing. I don't have to go to work today, so I plan to stay in front of my laptop mylotting and doing some other searches. I hope that you will enjoy good summer days, g-r. Good day.
