10 billion pesos refund in the making..Our electric charges will decrease once the NAPOCOR returns all our excess payments which they think amounts to 10 billion pesos says the ERC..the ERC have said that NAPOCOR should immediately return all the excess payments made for the past two years. The ERC ordered the NAPOCOR to decrease it's generation charge to 71.16 centavos per KWH..to MERALCO costumers it will be 0.49 decrease in their charge..now a good news? but will this take effect immediately? Will they be following ERC's order?

Wow, I hope provinces are also included to that 10 billion pesos refund. I believe that we also been cheated by this NAPOCOR and I want my refund too. I think that the electricity will go higher again because of this oil price hike in the country.

I guess what we have to do is wait. You know how businesses are here in the Philippines. They rarely listen to what others have to stay most especially the government. I think this is because of the free market system that we are in.

At least they are starting to reveal their mistakes and hopefully we could feel the change these coming days. NAPOCOR which is supposed to be owned by the government. They were controlled by the government for reasons to control the price of electricity that can be afforded by the masses. Now, they are found to be overcharging us for it. Wow that is just absurd. They should be privatize now since the purpose of it being owned by the government is not being served at all for the benefit of the public. I think that is what Meralco is also pointing out why they are charging higher rates since NAPOCOR is charging them high too. Well the roots of the high cost of power is slowly floating who is who.

It really is a good news for us consumers. But let's just wait and see. It's about time that they return what is due to the consumers. Hope it'll take effect immediately.

They must follow the ERC's order, and I hope many people will watch this development because many will benifit from this decrease in Meralco charge. That will be the greatest news in this month of July for the Filipino.

That is good news indeed! If this is true, it would be a relief to consumers. But chances are there will be a lot of discussion surrounding the issue which will delay the refund. Too see is to believe! Lets wait for it. :)
