i got this from a friend- Kathy Lee Gifford of NBC's the Today Show has outraged the Pagan community. While doing a report she made a comment about pagans calling them "nasty bad Pagans". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anFqvwQoaR8 My fellow pagans and anyone else that may feel that her comment was out of line and unprofessional I urge you to voice your opinion about Kathy Lee's comment to NBC and the Today show at one of these e-mail addresses. today@nbc.com or TODAY@nbcuni.com or today@msnbc.com This sort of uneducated intolerance has to stop!!! i also emailed morning joe via msnbc.com morning joe show

For some reason I'm really so not surprised she said something like this. I think she has the intelligence of a newborn flea! I never cared for her so this really doesn't change my opinion of her at all.

i never liked her either but i loved how she just added all that when all she had to say was "pagan" not the whole extra crap!!

They just got my email LOL. I can paste it but I said basically they need to treat her comment like they would a slanderous remark against any other religion and as long as she is on their show I will never watch it, not that I watch it now but in the future I won't.

Kathy Lee Gifford is a Christian and nothing she said was out of line. I think she is a good person. God bless.

If I turn it around and smear Christians maybe you would understand but I choose to be better than that.

i dont bash christianity and i have more than enough reason to.. i think people should just leave religion out of everything so that its not a reason for wars and hatred against eachoher

Wasn't out of line? If you say so. Wicca for example is classified as pagan, and they are recognized as as a legal religion by the united states. You'd definitely have a problem with someone saying the same about Christianity. Religious intolerance is as bad as having an intolerance for a race or gender.

I really dislike this woman, she needs to worry about her husband who cheats on her, the poor kids that work in sweat shop factories making her clothes and stop being so conceited (that is such a turn off). Well at least she got rid of that stupid sweater hanging around her shoulders. I am sure she will get a lot of complaints because of her remarks.

Hey, why not do one better? Don't just write the today show, also write to her site: http://www.kathieleegifford.com/lamb04/mailbag.php That way you can directly tell her (or her represetitives) how you feel about her little comment!

Religious intolerance has no place in broadcasting. It would not be allowed in the United Kingdom. We have laws against such thing. I don't know who Kathy Lee Gifford is but if she has said this on a TV show I think she should be reprimanded by the authorities, in the same way she would be if she had said the same about Jews, Muslims or people of any other religion.

yeah in the USA they fired a lot of people in the last couple of years that made racial things and they were really popular and so to me she should get it too.. she is a big morning tv personality on the like "good morning" tv shows.. whats messed up is that i pasted this to a pagan group on livejournal and they were all pissed at ME for over reacting.. which to me if no one reacts then people will think its ok to keep doing it
