Does having kids make you happy or unhappy?

They just did some study on the radio station down here and they were asking a question of "does having kids make you happy or unhappy"
My opinion would be they make me happy because that is unconditional love you cant get from anyone else in this world. but there are times when you arent happy with them when they turn into teenagers and start acting up and you wanna pull your out lol. But all in all i would say having kids makes you happy because that is someone who will love you no matter what.
So what are your feelings on it.

Having kids definately brings happiness moreso when well planned for. Kids when they are toddler they are funny to be with and are stress reliever if you dont know. awhen you are tired from office or long day work and go home, you find your little one innocently smiling at you and you smile back. The only bad stage with kids is when they are adolescents/teenagers........they can put you in trying moments but that one is shortlived. When they mature and have their families and jobs and you yourself is old, they will take care of you and pamper you.

All of your responses are great! i feel the same way. sometimes they make you wanna pull your hair out but like i said before unconditional love only comes from a child. :) your husband or wife cant give you the same amount of love that comes from your children. :) its the BEST :) i wouldnt trade my kids for anything in this world. id be lost without them honestly.

My kids are grown, except for my youngest who is 17 going on 35, and I can say without hesitation that having them has made me happy. They are a part of me and my life would feel very empty if any of them weren't here anymore.

Although a child keeps me busy all the time and I hardly have my own spare time. And when he is ill or loses temper, you will be very unhappy. But I still have to say that having a child makes me happier. When you see your child's smile, and you will be happy from the bottom of the heart. I think the parents understand this feeling quite well.

Having kids can make a person both! There are time that I want to ship my kids to China for awhile! Teenagers are the worst! Overall though I would have to say that having my kids is something that is really great and makes me happy. The way that I watch them grow and develop and learn. It is a real wonder. I am sure I will miss them someday when they are gone. But, I am sure they will be back when they need more money!

My husband totally couldn't wait to have a baby! We are both really happy having her in our life and it really gives life so much more meaning.
