Update on child support situation.....

Because child support enforcement is notorious for being relaxed about collecting child support. Even in the good states they are slow and lazy to collect.

well he is now over $26,000.00 in arrears.

well, i think someone needs to light a fire under them. it is ridiculous to let them get that far behind.

I am to the point where I can't stand him. I don't see how he can treat his other kids so well and treat his first born who was a preemie and in the hospital for a month before coming home to us so poorly. We were married for 5 years and that whole time neither of us were a priority for him.

Since we have moved to florida (3 years ago) he has seen her once a year and calls sporatically he lives in MO. Before we moved he would see her once or twice a month sometimes but he had no contact with her for 3 years once. He is not consistant with visiting her. He has never came out here to see her. he won't even call her now that he figures we know he quit his job. Her birthday is coming up we will see if he sends anything at all or used stuff like last time.

Sounds like to me he's doing the outta sight, outta mind game with you and your daughter. Had he even attempted to see her all these years? My god, when hubby and I split up for a few months, he desperately wanted to see his daughter as much as possible but didn't wanna pay the child support. Only after the child support department went after his check did he pay. He couldn't afford to quit his job being he needs that insurance and public aid hates him so he was screwed. He had to pay all the back child support up front at that or lose his license. He did a lot of stupid things when he left us and it was really biting him in the butt when we almost divorced. lol

So do I. She is the one who goes without. His kids don't cause they live on her parents land scott free and she works in a doctors office and her parents make sure her kids don't go without.

Good for you. What is your current order that they take that much? I only get $300.00 a month and that includes more for arrears. Of course after july 14 it will all be arrears.

I logged in and checked to see if he has made another payment yet after reading this discussion. Child Support Enforcement snagged $215.46 out of his paycheck this past week. I guess he has not quit his current job yet.

That is very true. My daughter is super mad at her dad cause of him quitting his job then lying to her about it.

They are just callouse and rude. They are always making empty promises to her and then rubbing it in her nose what they do for the other kids. They constantly tell her things like how they went to the movies or bought a new movie or whatever.

That was so cruel. Why did they even bother bringing it up. If they haven't bought things for years. It is sad that there are people that just don't give a crap about their kids. Nothing like rubbing it in her face. Maybe the stepmom is trying to get her to not come around anymore. It sure seems like they want to upset her.
