i remmeber few weeks back i am in salon and was having a hair spa treatment i undecided if i will cut my long hair or just have trimmed...i erally wanted to have a long hair, i have almost waist length hair(this is my longest)...i received txts that it is okay but all of these msge came from my female friends but none of my guy friend suggested the same way...they say that i may have trimmed but to cut it short...i am waiting for my someone to respond (the one i am seeing currently) and since he dont like it i just trimmed it down...but i told him that i have it shortened and he was not glad at all to hear it...he even say that he will just see me when it is long enough lols...
he came after a week and was surprised to still see my long hair he even says that he was nervous to see how my hair went...
my question (after long detail?) lols...what is it with the long hair??

its true that long hair women looks beautiful, your question is also remarkable, what about long hair man?
so for as my opinion is concern i like only good nature girl. Long hair is an external thing. just like packaging. i know so many girls who cut their hair and she looks cute. long hair takes more care then short hair so its difficult to keep it..

yeah true enough i have a long hair now and this takes time to wash, comb, dry and fix...unlik with the short hair...but i do intent to keep my long hair until it reaches my hip...i want it to be very long not for guys but for myself...

yup this is almost universally true. actually sometimes I find that women look prettier with long hair myself, even though I am a woman who just cut her long hair after not having short hair for 10 years!
I decided to change my hairstyle partly because the bob was in fashion and partly because it was getting crazy hot in my country! too warm to have long hair, even if I tied or bunned it up.
I think what matters is that you like your hairstyle and your significant other likes it cos he's the one that will be looking at your most of the time! my significant other loves my short hair so i guess I ahve the best of both worlds!

also here in our country it is freaking hot if the suns up...just this sunday i was tempted to cut my harir but it doesnt succeed i still have my long hair until today lols...

Hey there petiksmode, I think long haired women are gorgeous because it's a very feminine thing to have beautiful and long hair. howver, short hair can be attractive too as long as the haircut is feminine and not too boyish. My theacher once said that the women beauty shows through her hair. :D

It is more feminine. That is a cultural thing of course, because since ancient times women had long hair. Some cultures even hide the hair (ie muslims) because is too provoking for the male population. Long hair on a woman shows her feminimity. Since we are small, our oparents cut our hair in different ways to show us our roles in life: To the boys shorter, to the girls longer. Something like, pink is for a girl, blue is for a boy.
So it gets imprinted in our psychology, from the beginning of our life, and this happens for centuries now.

I know I'm a girl but I have long hair myself. It just compliments a woman's soft curved body. Its just sexy! I mean have you seen the herbal essence commercials? Long shiny sexy hair kind of make you more feminine to a certain point. Guys want what they don't have and that's I guess another one of those opposite attracts things. Plus its some what of a tease when you have long hair...

i like long hair and i have long hair myself. with long hair i can make many different hairstyles. for some important occations, a nice hairstyle can help me become more pretty. also i think long hair can make ladies look more femininity. however, with short hair, a girl will look like boy and seems she is more mature and ably.
why do men like long hair ladies? maybe they also think so.

Dear friend,
As a male I do like long hairs, may be most of Indians do like that. In our place most of women has long hairs. That is also a traditional one in our place that is southern part of India. May be most of men do have short haris than women may be not. Anyhow personally I feel women gets much of feminity with long hairs if that suits them. Majority of men may like women with long hairs in our place. But I had seen most of western women do have short hair than the asian women. May be the tradition and society too matter here.

yeah i had a student in one of my tutoring days...whoe parents are both from india..all of them have long hair (father,mother and thier son) they say that it is thier religion and thier custom as well...

And when I've suggested getting it cut for practicality only my female friends agree
However, my closer family members tell me "not to cut of my most beautiful feature"
I'm not saying that long haired girls are more pretty, but if you have nicely looked after, glossy long hair, why let go an attraction like that?
I think in men's eyes it's like a girl saying she wants her assets removed, and of course, with short hair they don't understand the trouble maintaining it.

if you really have pretty and glossy hair and you feel pretty on it then let it be...
but there are really moments that we wanted to cut it off for some reason like maintenance, hot weather etc...or somtimes we cut our hair as a sign of moving forward...ayt??

Men love long hair, but women want something that looks good and can be taken care of easily.. I think that men think long hair is sexy or something like that.. I am not sure, but I do love my short haircut..

They used to have those foolishness out here in Jamaica were the men goes after the females with long hair and good looks. But one day a deejay did a song about the ones with those commodities and explain in the song that they are all dunce and only living after their good looks and long hair that song was a instant hit and men started to think twice. I don't know why they always see it as a problem when female cut their hair. Sometimes one hair can make them look so old and there are times when you simple want to look different for a change. I guess when you sit down and reason with him instant of just telling him at the spare of the moment that is when they are upset and then they want it to seems as if cutting your hair is the problem.
Well I think one should like me for my personality and not for the length of my hair.

I think it's kind of funny that guys seem to have a general like of longer hair on women. I don't know if it's that they associate long hair with femininity or what, but I think a lot of the pixie cuts look more feminine than some longer 'dos.
I was tempted to buzz my long hair down to the skin this summer, but my mom said that I had a lumpy head and that it'd look awful.

hahaha...the one that i am seeing now is a guy with kinda long hair but not as long as mine just below his ears...he wanted to have a clean cut(short hair) for a change but i told him not do becoz of the odd shape of his head it is not lumpy but flat back instead...
