Does anyone like the essayist David Sedaris? He's most famous for The Santaland Diaries, which makes me laugh till it hurts and/or I have to pee. He also wrote the books "Me Talk Pretty One Day", and "Barrel Fever", among others. His sister Amy is also famous for starring on Strangers with Candy. Anybody?

I've only read his book "Me Talk Pretty One Day" and was pretty darned funny! My favorite part was the bathroom scene where he used the bathroom and there was a floatie in the toilet. I know that sounds disgusting and typing it now, I'm a little disgusted, but the scene and his reaction was hilarious! I haven't tried any of his other books and only read that one because it was recommended to me by a friend. Are his other books memoir-like as well?

I haven't heard of him yet but he sounds pretty awesome. I never really got into Strangers With Candy. I watched it a few times, but it was just too out there for me. I normally like weird and unusual comedies and/or series like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Is his stuff satirical or is it objectifying humor?
