Well this was my stupid moment of the day........I was cleaning up my bedroom and I like to light a candle when I clean a room to make it smell good. Well I needed to move it so what do I do. I grab it and move it by hand not so bad except i forget it has hot wax. Well it spills on my hand and burns me a bit. Its not to bad stings a little but thats it. But boy do I feel stupid lol. So what was your stupid moment youd care to share? Ever spill hot wax on yourself? And hey dad feel free to spill your wax story lol.

Yesterday I was heating up a frozen apple blossom on a ceramic plate, china plate, whatever... something I considered to be microwaveable. I put it in for 1 minute and 20 seconds. I opened the door and just grabbed the plate with both hands. It was freakin' hot!!! I dropped the plate and went running for the burn remedy. I literally burned 3 fingers and my thumb. That was stupid.

Hi friends, Well I am embarrassed to say my stupid moment happens a lot. I get the coffee mug all ready with the coffee, sugar etc. Fill the kettle and then forget to turn it on. Then I wonder why its taking two hours for the kettle to boil. (True redhead, no blond here) Cheryl

Be careful the next time that you decide to move the candle. At least hot wax doesn't burn the skin. That is a plus for you. Nothing to report of a stupid day. Have a good one.

I had one of those a few months back. It was raining and I wanted to back our Quest into the garage so we could get our groceries out, but its an older house and it wouldn't fit. I popped the hatch and as it was going up I saw a vision of the whole back window being busted out because I knew the hatch wouldn't stop and go back down until it couldn't go any higher, which would have been the garage door frame. I jumped out of the van, with it still in reverse, and the drivers side door open, before I realized what I had done. I had to jump back in and stop the van before the door would have been bent back and broken off. Good thing it was only going 5 mph or it would have been disasterous. I did stop the van and shut the hatch. I did break off one of the lights on the bottom of the door though. It scared me worse than anything.

I'm glad to know you are o.k. and i hope the burn will clear up quickly. Yeah i burnt myself with candle wax already, but it never left a bruise, i just felt a little burn that's all. For easter we were painting our house and i was going to wash out my paint brush, i had finished paint my share. I was so stupid that i walk under my uncles ladder, accidentally tipped it over. He came tumbling down with the paint, and paint spilled all over, even in my hair. can't believe i did that. I was such in a hurry i forgot to pass around the ladder, instead of under. My uncle was furious, i couldn't stop apologizing and crying for i had paint in my hair and taught it will all fall out and i would be bold. It was oil paint and I wasn't sure it would wash out of my hair. But it did and we had a big laugh about it after

Ummmm, okay. I was making crayons for my kids when they were little from used small chunks of crayons. I had them in cupcake tins cooking at 200 degrees for a minute till they melted. Well I grabbed them from the oven without a mitt or potholder. Well they were hot causing me drop it. SPLASH! Hot wax all over my hairy chest and legs etc. No fun trying to remove wax from a hairy body. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I left my lights on inside the car last night, forgot to turn them off. This morning my car would not start. Had to get my husband to jump it.

That sucks well at least you just had to jump it. What sucks is when you lock your keys in the car on christmas nobody is open to come get them out you have to break a window. Yep happened to me father in law locked them in.

I didn't spill it on myself but last year I had a Christmas party...and I made a beautiful center peice with a huge pillar candle in the middle...well I lite it and left it burn for about four hours...the whole time it was melting down the back and running wax all over my favorite lace table cloth....over the side of the table and onto a chair thankfully! If it had gotten in the carpet I would have really been mad at myself. I tried to get the wax out of the table cloth but....I had to pitch it. There was no way to salvage it!

Yeah those candles can make a mess of things. I lit an incense once that fell against the wall and I didnt notice it burnt a line in my wall. I hung a puzzle over it since then to hide it. I was lucky it didnt catch fire. Thank heavens for fire retardant drywall.

That lace table cloth must look really good. what a pity for being ruined by wax. So sorry for you. Don't be mad with yourself (but I know how it feels though). Sometimes we tend to forget that somethings need to be attended to all the time. We are always in a hurry to sort things up. That's why we move to quickly without thinking of the consequences.

I was working on an alarm clock one time, don't ask me why but i didn't unplug it that was stupid but the really stupid part was i dropped it and it landed in a glass of water and i reached in and picked it up! The only excuse i have is that i had not been to sleep in over 48hours. It is a wonder i didn't get electrocuted.

Can't wait to hear the dad story!!! I can see where picking up the candle and getting hot wax on you would be eazy enough done. I have never done that. The worse burn I have ever got was walking up to a motor bike wearing panty hose nylons no less and my leg went up against the muffler/baffle pipe. It was smoking red hot and I can not begin to tell you what melted nylon feels like when burnt into your flesh, but don't do it, that's all I can say. lol.

LOL! I'm sorry that happened, I know how bad it is to get burned by anything! =P This defenaitly sounds like something I would do =P DO I have any personal stupid stories?!!? OH BOY! lol. if I could tell you all the stupid things that I've done in my 19 years...wow, it would take a while lol. But since you shared a story where you were burned, I'll do the same. I was making cookies, just got done getting the dough situated on it's pan, and as I was putting in the oven...for whatever reason my arm was really high lol. I didn't even realize. But I ended up bugning the top of my arm, almost by the elbow on the top of the oven! lol. I don't know why my arm would have been that far in the oven, and that high...but, somehow it was! =P

Hi minnie_98214! Yes, I did experienced the same thing before but what is stupid about it is I intentionally did it to myself. I have read it once in a beauty magazine that paraffin wax is also used for making your hands smooth and young looking. Well, I didn't really know the procedure or the method of how to use the paraffin wax so I just tried the melted candle knowing that it is paraffin. So, i spilled it on one hand and ..Ouch, it hurts! haha..Never tried it again. Take care and God Bless!

hi minnie well my stupid moment came from watching the pot and it not boiling. why was it not boiling so I could make some fetticini for my supper? Dah. I had not turned on the burner. oh my stupid is right duh. and double duh.Something so simple. 'Reminds me of the day at the library where I used to work and the patron came to me complaining that her computer was not working. I checked it and then saw this big grin on the little kids face as mom was upset over the computer not wo rking. so I bent down and sure enough little impish kid had unplugged the computer. so I plugged it back in and the mom was all smiles, and junior scowled at me. lol lol.

Thats too funny sneaky little kids. I have done that too except mine was the oven I put a pizza in only to forget to turn the oven on. Whats worse is when you forget to turn the burner off. I have burnt too many pans doing this one.

hi minnie my son forgot his pizza and I kept smelling good smells then burning and finally I tapped on his door, hey Robbie your pizza is done. and he snapp;ed well just take it out, Im busy. so I did just that, it looked like a black frisbee, nice and black and shiny, no resemblance to a pizza at all. I put it on the box and left. let him take care of his own darned mess. a few minutes later he tapped on myh door he was laughing so hard 'I had to laugh too. he said my G it looks like a frisby.

I can't think of anything really stupid off hand except for yesterday night when I was making cheese toast.I turned up the heat after flipping one side and then started talking to my fiance, and asking him if he wanted something more to drink, etc. Well when I got back to the frying pan one piece of the bread was so burnt that there was probably an inch of the bread left. I ate it, well as much as I could eat of it.
