I have a brother that we consider the blacksheep in our family. He uses drugs.Went to school and always shift from one course to another until he never finish even one.Due to drugs he stole and cheat my parents. He sold things that was own by my parents and stole money from them. But still because he is their son they still love and accepted him inspite of the bad things he did to them.Until they died and i was left carrying this problem. He did the same to me also.I tried to support him but he just don't want to change himself and i have my own daughter to protect and needs my care so i gave up.He did the biggest mistake in his life and i can't forgive him for now.Is there any blacksheep in your family?

I am a mother of 3, & a grandmother of 2. I can tell you that when you enable them they never change. I have gone through a similar situation. I had to tell my son not to come to my house or call me. For one year we only saw each other 3 times. Those times were when he would beg me for money or a place to sleep. I took him a blanket & food. I would cry for days after that. To make along story short he has now finished college, has a lovely wife, & beautiful 4 year old daughter & we are the best of friends. My sleepless nights only lasted a year whereas if I would have supported him and his habit I might still have those sleepless nights.

Yes my older brother is exactly like yours. Although, my mother is still alive and still supporting her 37 year old son that doesn't work or do anything to support himself. It's crazy that parents enable their children the way that they do. I have tried to help him on several occasions and every time it is the same thing. So the last time I tried, I too gave up. There really isn't anything that we can do for people like this.
