Gothic London Trip- Help!

I am appealing to everyone who lives in or has ever been to London (and is preferably a goth!) I have a mission for you. I would like to start planning and saving for a trip to London with my best friend. I want this to be a very unique and personal experience. I don't want to stay in a hotel that could be practically anywhere in the world if not for the scenery out the window. We are both into the goth scene and have heard that there is no goth like a London goth. I am looking for a hotel, motel, B&B, or whatever, that is very unique. I am looking for one of those diamond in the rough situations. I also would like any recommendations of places to see and shops to visit that would fit our goth-seeking adventure. Also would like to hear if there is anyone who does not agree with our London goth theory and would like to recommend an alternative destination (outside of NYC as we live nearby) along with everything else I asked for above.
