Clapping hands is basically an act of expression of admiration for a particular feeling or showing. If you are a movie goer, when your hero does a heroic act, you clap and when he shows different expressions in his face also you clap, when you appreciate a speech in an audience also you clap your hands, and it goes on like that. You also encourage your child to do something, by clapping your hands! On which recent occaions you clapped your hands?

I clapped my hands in happiness today because we finally got some rain. I do not clap my hands often and NEVER at a movie theater. I prefer to be quiet at movie theaters in respect for the other viewers. I would clap along with the rest of the audience at a live concert. I sometimes clap my hands quietly at the receipt of some especially good news.

I clap my hands all the time actually. Obviously I will clap my hands to applaud a performance of some type, be it musical, theatrical, or both. I clap when I am cheering for my friends or other sports teams that I like. When I am playing sports I will clap when something goes right or when I'm trying to encourage or pump up my teammates. When you think about it clapping really is the expression to say "hey good job" or that I appreciated the performance or speech. I clapped my hands at my buddy's wedding this past weekend and clapped my hands at the baseball game I went to a week ago too.
