Do you sleep with comfort of A/c or Fan?

While most of the people sleep under comfort of air conditioners, others sleep under fans. Many others even do not have that facility also. How about you? Do you sleep under A/c or fan? When electricity goes off, what is your alternative?

I like rooms that have become cold. Ever since I moved to the tropics, I've enjoyed cold rooms that have been chilled by air conditioning, and when I've lived in places with winter, it's a really good feeling to leave your window open and let the air chill the room. However, three years ago I moved in with an aunt who lives next to the sea. She's placed me in a room with a sea breeze. I really love it. I sleep between the breeze of a fan and the sea breeze, which feels really good. The feeling is particularly good whenever it rains, the sea breeze then has the extra cooling effect.

I have a A/C in my room which makes it soo cool and cold in the summer. I have also got fans that I use. If the electric goes off I will go back to what I use to and open up the windows and hope for a cool breaze.

We, specially our kids are comfortable with air conditioners. I was turning it on from 8:00PM until 4:00AM. But it is only running during night, we are using fan during day time. When electricity goes off, I want my window open so that the fresh air can come in. But I heard that there is a cheap rechargeable electric fan on the market, so I need to check this out, I guess it is helpful, according to my friend, it can run within 8 hours.

We are so accustomed to the central air conditioning that I doubt that any one in our household would get any sleep until the power came back on. I'm assuming that you are referring to the power going off during the hottest months of the year. When it's still 80+ degrees F at 10 PM, fans are just not enough.

We use both the AC and the fan because my husband can't sleep if he is hot and in line of work it is not a good idea to work when your tired. He loves it but I don't because I get too cold even under the covers so when he leaves for work the fan goes off or on low and the AC goes off too. They are both off right now and I'll turn them back on a little bit before he gets home. When the electricity goes off we just deal with it, but we do have a generator that we can use in an emergency, but that would be more for the food than fans.

well it depends on the weather of course but if it is hot, i sleep near the a/c but if it is not too bad, i just open the windows, sometimes i will put on the fan just to stir the air, but fortunately, here in canada, the hot weather is only here for a few short months.

Hello dear snake queen. We have an air-conditioner in our bedroom. We use it when it is very hot during the day and when we have an afternoon nap, but before going to have our night sleep, we use it to cool the room first before we use our fan during the rest sleeping hours till day breaks. Thanks and stay cool, snake queen friend.

i'm more a fan person than air-con. air-con makes my throat dry. some times even my nose will be so dry it hurts to breathe. here where i am, electricity going off is a pretty rare happening. so far i've only experienced a black out maybe three or four times in my entire life. if there are no electricity, i'll just sleep on the floor. the floor is cooling enough to lull me to sleep. ;p

Hello snakequeen, i have the habit of sleeping under fan. Am so used to sleeping under fan that ,i convince my husband most of the time whether its summer or winter. Moreover now climatic conditions are very different in India due to global warming. When power is off, i get pissed off and sleep with difficulty. Blessings!

It'll be much cheaper if you're going to use an A/C for a large open space. Since it can cover more than a fan. But you can also use fans if you want to save some money paying electric bills.
