See a penny, pick it up, see five bucks, grab it and run?

Have you ever discovered money lying on the ground? What did you do, grab it? I know I have. The times I have seen money lying on the ground, nobody is else is looking down, other people may even be stepping on it, and yes, i have picked it up and kept it. What have you done, or what would you do? What is the most you have found? In the last few months, I found $40. In the past I have found anything from a few dollars to around $30, occasionally I pick up change.

i dont pick up change but i have found like 20 bucks before and i kept it because there was no one around and it was in a busy parking lot and if i had turned it in most places the person would just take it themselves and i needed the money badly at the time

Hello mommyboo! Yes, I've done that too. But I first look if no one is around or make sure that it isn't the money of those people who are around. If I actually know who dropped the money I give it back. Really. But if no one is around and nobody claims it, definitely, I'll keep it in my pocket. Hehe. I'm sure if anyone passes by he'll do the same thing anyway.

If I see somebody drop money, I will attempt to give it back to them or alert them that they dropped it. I don't often carry cash so I don't have this problem, but for people who do, and carry a lot of it folded together, dropping it isn't good! I would hope if I dropped some that somebody would tell me.
