Expect the left to redouble their efforts to revive the Fairness Doctrine. Rush's new contract will keep him on the air through 2016. Is not it interesting to note that Rush Limbaugh is thriving and the left just can't get their act together on talk radio? I've always suspected that is because the people who listen to talk radio are people going to jobs or on the road for work; in other words, people who tend to contribute to society instead of taking from society and those people are generally conservative.

I always thought that it was because the "right" never seems to have enough to occupy their time and that's why they listened to Rush and others of his kind on the radio. The "left" is too busy trying to save the world from the "right" LOL
I'm happy he got a new contract. His meds must be very expensive :)

The Fairness Doctrine is so much '1984' it boggles the mind. It is called 'Fairness' but in actuality would force radio stations to carry opinion no one wants to hear. It is 'Tryanny' but called 'Fairness'.
Any liberal who could produce a liberal radio talk show that millions of people would really listen to could get it on the air without any trouble. All radio stations carrying Rush are trying to make money. To do this they must have audience. If liberal talk radio could get an audience, stations would carry it gladly, in order to make money.
Instead, the wannabe dictators of the radio waves want the government to force radio to play their opinion. They just don't get it that Freedom of Speech is not a guarantee anyone wants to hear what you have to say.
