Do you think the end is near for the CD Single?

I've heard over time how many shops don't sell CD singles anymore, such as Woolworths. I used to buy CD Singles all the time but I only ever but them now for bands like McFly where I am interested in hearing B Sides and the B Sides are not available to download on places such as Itunes. I personally think the end is coming for the CD Single in stores around the UK, however I have the feeling they will still be for sale on the internet shops. Do you think their end is near? Have you ever bought CD Singles? If so, do you still buy them?
