I think I need to apologize to everyone again

I know I haven't been on much at all over the last several weeks, and I want to say I'm sorry to all of my wonderful friends here. I've just been in the worst slump lately, what with being in pain, being tired, and dealing with all of this nasty smoke in the air since all of the fires are still going strong. I'm not making excuses for myself...really. I really do miss you all terribly. But when I get online to start responding to discussions, I just sort of go blank. This has been going on for too long lately, and I am trying to shake this off so I can get back into the swing of things. Please accept my apologies, and I really hope you don't give up on me. Have any of you had a "slump" that has gone on as long as mine has? If so, how did you pull yourself out of it? Lots of love and hugs to all........Carryl

You have to take it easy with the fires going on an all. I have to guess that you live in Cali. near where the forest fires are going on and that's not good. You just be safe the internet will be here when you come back. Just take care and be safe when you feel better you will be back full swing. There are times when the slump hit everyone in different ways. So you take care and be safe.

Thank you hon. Yes, I do live in northern California, and the air hasn't cleared for days now. I just wish that I could snap out of this now...it's been going on for so long that I've had a couple of friends here mention taking me off their friend's list because of inactivity, and it really upset me. Hopefully I can do better from now on. Thanks again hon. I appreciate the encouragement.

I've missed you and everyone else here too. Yes, the fires are still going on. At last count there were about 1400 fires burning! The air has cleared up for a bit, but I think that's only because of the slight breeze blowing at the moment. I hope they get a handle on them soon. THanks for the encouragement hon. Hugs!

Welcome back and it's all right you've been away awhile. We all do that from time to time. Okay let's see if this may help you, as there are the fires out ther in CA. why not do a few discussions about them as far as forefighting efforts, rescues, destruction etc. I know we from Minnesota have a bunch of firefighters out there helping to battle all the blazes. I just take what ever happens during my days to start a discussion with. I've never allowed myself to slump that long here. After a few days I get back one way or another. When I start to get that feeling I take a walk, or a drive checking things out. Then I usually start discussions etc about the walk or drive etc. Good luck and good to have ya back. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Thanks for the great suggestions hon. I've done a couple of updates on the fires, but that's about it. But I have a few ideas to elaborate on those now. Big hugs to you my friend.

With all those wildfires I can't even imagine how bad the air quality is out there. You have a lot on your plate right now. Yeah, I've been in a slump for mylot before. I've been kind of out of it this week, although I did post a little at the beginning of the week.

Right now, people are being encouraged to stay inside and avoid outdoor activities because the air quality is so very bad here. Thanks so much hon. Hugs to you.

Being where you are at, it's understandable that you just aren't in the right frame of mind. All that smoke has to be doing a bad number on not only your lungs, but other organs as well. We're here for ya whenever your mind/smoke clears to start/respond to discussions again.

Carry, Sorry to hear you have what I call the doldrums. Yes I have been there before, and have had it last for awhile. The pain is what does it, and really the best advice I can give you is even if you think you can, get out and get among people. I find the best place is to go set in a park and watch the children play. Their joy is contagious. Another thing I do is set on a bench at the mall, and people watch. It is not important that you speak or interact with anyone, it is just the connection of not sitting home and moping. Hope this helps, Marilyn

I will be doing something like that here pretty soon. I get to go and house sit for my brother for a couple of weeks, and I'll be only about 30 minutes from the beach. Perfect place to watch people. Thanks for the great suggestions hon.

I know that you wouldn't give up on me hon. And I love you so much for that. I'll email you and let you know what happened to make me feel like this. I know I shouldn't let things like this get to me, but sometimes they do. I feel better now in spite of it all, and now I will try to be on more. Love and hugs to you....Carryl

No need to apologize. Everyone gets in slumps at some point in time. It just happens. I have missed your discussions and will be here when you are ready to post again. I might miss part of a day or all day being on myLot but then I get anxious to see what discussions are here and need to get online to find out. I must be curious, addicted or both.

Hi Katlady, Please don't worry about being in a slump, as at happens to most of us, at one time or another, as previously mentioned here. I was offline for a little over three weeks not long ago, due to computer problems. I've been having some health problems too, and overall just haven't been as active, and do hope my friends will understand, as I'm sure your's will. I still love it here, and hope to get back to it more again, when I can. Right now, I'm at my sister's for a week's vacation, and have just logged on for a short while. I'm sorry to hear too, that you're in pain, and I must've missed the reason for this somehow. Is this as a result of the surgery you had? I do hope you feel much better soon. Big hugs to you. Take care.

The pain is actually from my back, which has been giving me grief for years. It's just gotten worse since I've been losing the weight. I think my tailbone was broken several years ago, but the pain had gone away. But since there is less "padding" there now, the pain has come back. So I'm still on the pain pills. Those don't help to get my mind going either. LOL! Thanks so much hon. You will always be on my list of friends, no matter what. hugs!

Hey Carryl, we've all had times when even the best of discussions can't evoke a response from us. There were many times where I had one of these moods, and didn't even realize it until I had deleted many of the discussions sent to my e-mail because I couldn't think of what to say to it. Don't worry, it passes. You just take care of yourself, try not to inhale too much of that smoke, and we will be here with open arms and hearts when you return.

It really does happen Kat and your situation is completely understandable. Don't worry too much about responding to everything, just do what you are comfortable doing. At least through up a discussion from time to time so others can check in with you (I do this too via the free-for-all weekend bit). Carryl, focus on getting better and come back to "normal" mylotting when you are good and ready. I've had slumps but they seem to be more "drained" moments. Discussions aren't interesting or I've responded to almost all of the recent discussions from friends and others. Boredom could also set in. Sometimes this can result in my being behind or late on discussions.
