Firefox 2 suddenly crapped and pretty much required FF3.

I was using 2.x releases, waiting for more of my add-on extensions, like FireFTP, to be compatible with Firefox 3, but the latest 2.x release screwed everything up, so I upgraded to the latest 3.x release... however, if I try to get add-on extensions from the site, they keep saying I need to upgrade Firefox.

Firefox addon site will automatically determine current version you are using. If it still ask you the upgrade then maybe FF2 is really screwed up. I think it would be better to install FF3 to a different folder so that you could still recover what's left with your FF2.

Yeah, I installed to my 2.x directory just out of laziness, though, and the only drawback is the folder name, Firefox2. I have Firefox 3 installed at D:\Useful Apps\Firefox2.

So why is addon page ask you to upgrade when you have FF3 in firefox2 folder? FireFTP is already ready for FF3 I just installed it.

I'm clueless. I'm trying to figure out what's causing my problems, but I think I need to completely wipe the computer of anything Firefox and clean the registry. I don't want to do that, though.
