I love Tom Green! Been watchin since his cable show was on MTV. Freddy Got Fingered is hilarious and so wrong!
When will Holywood realize the genius that is Tom? I mean, I'd rather go see any film he was in than another boring Adam Sandler flick (sorry if yer a fan).

I met Smokey Robinson in Hawaii. I was running for the elevator at my hotel, and the man inside held the door open for me. I thanked him, and we chatted during the ride down to the lobby.
All the while, I kept thinking he looked familiar, but I couldn't place where I knew him from.
Then the doors opened, and there were people crowding around. I heard someone yell, "Smokey!"Well, then I knew who he was.
I am kind of glad I didn't figure it out right away or I would have probably been tongue tied, but as it was, we had a nice chat.
He is a very nice guy.

That's a great story! He's a real legend! I've ridden in an elevator with a couple celebs before. I sweat and can't say anything. Always hope my deodorant is working!

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting one of my personal heros, Colin Powell, during my internship in DC. He spoke to our students, and I was chosen to present him with our speaker gift. Oh man I just wanted to faint! That was so cool.
I also met Vince Vaughn in FAO Shwartz buying action figures of himself from Jurassic Park. But I don't really care about him.
Oh, and I went to high school with Bethany Joy Lenz-now some other last name- from "One Tree Hill".

Isn't it weird how we get all nervous and tongue tied when we meet our heroes, but don't when it's someone less important to us?

I think that's really fascinating. It's like the only reason that they're important at all is because they did things that WE appreciated. I don't know if I would be star-struck at meeting Colin Powell. I understand what he's accomplished, but it's not as important to me as, say, what Stevie Wonder did for the music world.

That would be Tisha Campbell at Cal State LA High School of the Arts where my son attended. Cecila Tyson at Dance Theatre of Harlem back in 1966 at a fund raiser with my parents. The cast of Hook that Steven Speilberg produced my son was one of the lost boys. God Bless

Met george bush 1 back when he was VP, met most of the cast from AMC and GL at a softball game, hung out with some during the game. met some news ancor on line at a big boys on the beltway, cant remeber his name though.

I've met alot of the stars from the Star Wars films. They include:
Carrie Fisher (Leia), Billy Dee Williams (Lando), Peter Mahew (Chewbacca), David Prowse (Darth Vader), Kenny Baker (R2D2), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), Michael Carter (Bib Fortuna), Warwick Davis (Wickit), Julian Glover (General Veers), John Hollis (Lobot).
