Speed breakers

India

In some places speed breakers are put for every one kilometers to check the speed of vehicles plying at high speeds. This is common inside a city or town. That sounds good. But on national highways, the distance it is put varies, though. Sometimes, the speed breakers itself become cause of an accident! And when you do night driving! If you are speeding in a vehicle, how do you negotiate breakers? You ply on an average speed? Do you welcome breakers?

I'm not sure I understand what a speed breaker is. Are you referring to speed bumps. Speed bumps are berms that are built across the street to force speeders to slow down. These are used in residential areas where children might be playing in the street. It is illegal for a city or town to build them on a national or state highway. I try to not exceed the posted speed limit. On long trips the cruise control can be set for a number at or just under the speed limit.

Hi, fan of SNEHA even i am from south india so that is why i am able to tell you that. Comming straight to the point speed breakers are a must in this fast moving world of ours. But they should be properly maintained at regular spaces and they should have proper height as well or else it will be very difficult. I drive somtimes and i find that it is really difficult to handle these incorrect breakers at high speed that is exact;ly what u r talking abt. I myself am unable to negotiate with them but the best way is to go at an optimum speed of 45-55kmph. Good Day.
