I think that everyone on Mylot can testify to the fact that it is a good idea to write out our feelings to ease stress. The only diffence is that we type out our feelings and get feedback. This is a great help for me with every day issues. Before I started on Mylot, I kept a journal every now and then, but now I have been more consistant and it has helped a lot. What are some of the other things that you do to relieve stress? http://www.everydayhealth.com/PublicSite/index.aspx?puid=896ea383-5547-4e9b-b33b-5485f6757489&xid=nl_EverydayHealthEmotionalHealth_20080702

Hi Rozie37! How are you my friend? I hope everything is alright. I completely agree with you my friend that it is a good idea to write our feelings to ease stress. Pen and paper has been my friends before and now, I am quite high tech. haha..I am relieving some of my stress on typing here in mylot. I used to keep a journal too but that was a long time ago. I also relieved my stress through walking and sometimes just sitting out in our garden while listening to some spiritual music that can be uplifting to my soul. Take care and God bless!

Now that is totally awesome. I use to listen to gospel on my walk-man while waiting for the bus. I would look around and up to the sky and just marvel at the wonder of God. That is such an incredible feeling. Thank you for reminding me of that. God bless you.

Although writing is a good way to relieve stress, I think going for a walk is good too. Sometimes, I will be so mad about something, and then by the time I've walked a few blocks, I've forgotten what I was mad about. This is really good to relieve work stress. Getting your mind distracted by your surroundings, being outdoors...I think these things are very therapeutic. And good exercise too.

Yes you are right, taking a walk is very good for stress. It takes a lot of energy to stay mad, so if you go for a walk, you will be to exhausted to dwell on what upset you, LOL.

I can definitly testify to the fact that there writting helps relieve stress. Whether its exams stress or other problems there is nothing else that helps me relieve as much stress as writting. Most of the time i dont even have to write about whats bothering me, aslong as it gets my mind off my problems.

It is really good to get things down so that we can look back at them and actually see what we are feeling. I am a writer. I write poetry and short stories. I like to go back and look at things that I have written down a while later. It reminds me of how I got through other stressful situations. Sometimes it is funny to look back and see how much I have grown. I will say, I can not believe how I felt back then.
