Ebay has been a very successful online trading website. Just curious whether do you sell through ebay?

I have sold things on Ebay in the past and may do it again. My wife also has been selling some things over there.

Yes. I am a powerseller at ebay. I could sell enough to make it a full time job if I wanted. However I have to restrain ebay sales because I own a landscaping company which takes 50-60 hours a week.

I am a firm believer in do what you love and the money will follow. Many businesses fail because people start the company to make money. I don't like to talk about what I sell because mylot might look at it like I am trying to sell my products and to avoid someone thinking they are going to make a full time income on ebay stealing my idea. I am not saying you or anyone else is going to try to compete with me. Just in case... I buy enough to drop the price to make it a waste of someone's time to compete with me unless they like getting paid $3 per hour. Only the big sellers can compete with me and we overlap products but none of us are the same. Most people will tell you to look for what people buy and sell that. That can be hard. This I do not recommend. You must create a niche and sell something you like. It has to be what people would buy. People like to browse so you want to have more than one product. When your listings end is important. A violent video game would probably sell for a higher amount in the evening. An old lady sweater would sell for a higher amount earlier in the day. Sociology is important. Know your buyers. Don't start a business because you want to be rich or just to make money. Start a business because it is what you want to do. Do what you love and the money will follow. I started my landscaping company because I wanted to design, install and maintain flower beds. It is what I want to do for money. It is very satisfying and rewarding. You may have noticed money isn't mentioned not once. If I made just enough to barely survive on bread and water I would still do it. If you don't know what you want to do, you need to find something that you will like doing. You have no boss on ebay to encourage you to work. It is solely up to you and if you do not like selling on ebay or what you sell, then there is nothing to make you do it. Ship the same day the buyer pays. Ship every day no matter how inconvenient it is. You are running a business and it is what it takes. The feedback of sellers who only ship 1 or 2 days a week will not be as good as the ones who ship every day. Your feedback is important. Try to do what ever you can to avoid getting negative feedback.

Thanks a lot for your response. I will definitely look into the thing that I like most. Selling in ebay is not as easy as it seems. I hope to begin as soon as possible.

I buy and sell on ebay too. I am also a powerseller. You have to sell so many items or a certain dollar amount to keep your status. I have sold just about anything and everything on ebay and have found that people will buy just about anything. Here are some items we have sold: -Star Wars vintage toys -Cd's and DVD's -Baby Clothes -Baby Gear (bottles, feeding, etc) -Coupons -Shoes -Purses -Jewelry -Kids toys -Kids Clothes -Video Games -Womens and Mens clothing Sometimes when out shopping I will see things for really cheap and buy them to resale on ebay. If your items are new with tags they sell a lot better than used ones. We have had a lot of success with selling on ebay and love it!!
