I recently purchased M853 and it is working good. but the picture quality is not excellent.
Your thoughts on this........?

How many MegaPixels does it have?? In new products, there are always nylon covers to be removed. maybe there is one on your objective. when i purchased a new digital camera, there was a nylon cover which made my photos' quality worse. but once i removed it, the quality was perfect. i hope this solves your problem!
