Can a discussion be deleted? If so how?

OK someone else makes a discussion and you feel it is inappropriate and maybe for good reason (illegal etc.) then how do these get cleaned up? I left a comment but that is hardly going to do it... surely there is SOME moderation? Or is this place all junk chat, spam chat, kids, bored housewives, pensioners, randy india men, and lovesick pinay woman?!
