Is classic rock really mean that it is from back in the 60's 70's 80's or is ti actually a type of sound? I think its a type of sound. No band now has achieved this but if it was achieved would you think that it would be classified as classic rock. I think the closest band would be a band called airbourne. They sound a lot like AC/DC.

AIRBOURNE!Yeah they are the new ac/dc. Even if they are much heavier they remind acdc because of the vocals and the guitar riffs!

I thought classic rock was an era between 1960-1980 . But there is a classic sound to that era and modern bands can use it. so I guess the answer is yes.
