i hace received a comment from most recent exbf (we broke up a year ago)he ststed that whenever he hears the song linger by cranberries he alwys had his thoughts on me...eso the chorus line..
if i were you what will be your thougths?

Hmm.. Maybe you have shared memories with the song? But the the word itself, "Linger," already means to stick, to stay, to have an aftertaste of..
It's like the smell of a cake that cooked in the oven, even after the cake is already elsewhere, as long as the baking had been recent, the smell still "lingers" in the air..
Well, I srsly don't know. For me first loves always "linger," because we had given a part of ourselves away.. Sad, but true. :)
Either way, you do have a choice, to move on and focus on what you have to do right now, or to go back, realizing that he truly is the right one for you.
One thing though, I'd advice that you'd stay still and get to know.... Jesus. He'd reveal the right man for you. ;)

i actually not into thinking of if he the one God had given to me or not..I am focusing myslef in ministry..yeah i have known Christ and accepted him years back..
i have moved on already i have broken it up with him over a year ago...regarding the song i cant think of any memories we have shared that could reminds me of that song...it just puzzled me a lot since he told me that he is getting married very soon and i really thought he moved on already but what is the comment all about?

if he's already getting married, cut off all ties. if you do get to see him or what, make sure it's only when you bump into him. delete all numbers that you have of him.. This is to keep you from temptation.
Satan is attacking with all the ammo that he's got by now, so we better stay alert, as Children of God. One of the things he'd like to get in would be through flattery and lust that actually masquerades as friendship.
If I were you, I'd sever all forms of communication and contact. Talking with men would be fine in the real world, but texting and emailing and chatting are dangerous, because anyone could easily be seduced with the words, "no one will ever know.."
Personally, if I were getting married, all ties to friends that are too close to comfort are definitely NOT welcome.
Ministry is good, dear. But just a reminder, it was Mary whom Jesus commended, over Martha. :)

thnks for that but you gotten it all wrong mydear...i have closed that chapter in my life a year ago with him and dont have any intentions of reopening it or any way...we are friends until now and i really dont see myself going back to him...if things will be real good soon in his marriage i will be one of the bridesmaid actually..
the reason for me asking is really all about curiosity...

I would say that's fine and try to move on. I mean there are songs that make me think of my ex, though I would never tell him that. There must have been a reason why the two of you broke up. I just think certain songs hold sentimental memories for people and i'm not sure why he would have told you that...

Well my guess is that the content of the song makes him think about you. Maybe he was pondering what could have been if he lingered or stayed with you instead of letting you go. I am not really familiar with the song but that is my analogy. The song may not be memorable to both of you or may have no meaning to you. It is just that it makes him think of you.

Wee linger is a generic song for those who are moving on so as any other love song. I think it's natural to think of our past relationship whenever we hear a love song. We always think that we could associate ourselves with that song.

yeah and maybe becoz...we actualy separated with no hurt feeling towards each other we dont even remmber fights while we were on the relationship...things just slipped i guess but we are sure good friends ayt now...and accepted that we are better off this way..
