whats you're special thing...

Though it is my family and friends which are my special things but then to pull me up from the dumps it is always a bit of music or some Television. When I am down in dumps, either due to anger or sadness, I cannot sort of have someone pull me out of it. I have to come out of it myself. Music is the best medicine. Books or some light program on T.V can also do the work for me. It depends how much in the dumps I am, that much time it takes for me to come out of it. But then I am moody again. So it depends again what gets me out of it.

I would say my children make me happy but....out of six there is only one special one. My daughter! I have a very special granddaughter who is the 'light of my life'. She is my heart and soul of life. Born premature she was a fighter. Today she is two. Still with problems but still fighting. I have a 'very special' friend in California that I haven't seen for about 41 years. We talk every day but I do miss her. So, what makes me happy?? Opening my eyes each day and saying thank you for another day!

To me, I think it is watching sitcoms. This is probably because I am alone so frequently and so far from everyone else. I can turn on a 30 minute situation comedy, and usually be in better spirits by the end. I also like to listen to comedy tapes like Roy D. Mercer and Jeff Foxworthy. There are a lot of great comedians out there these days that can lift your spirits if you let them. There are people that seem to cheer me up, when I am able to get ahold of them. Usually everyone is busy with their family, especially this time of year. Hope you have a great holiday!
