Too Many Flowers? / myLot

Orange Glow - Such a magnificent orange glow from my Tiger Lilies

This is a shot of one of my Orange Tioger Lilies. Unlike the Asiatic varity these seem to get flower buds in clumps. The Asiatic get a lot of buds but they are all on a longer stem seperating them from other buds on the main stem. This cluster has about 15 buds grouped together. Is this normal for a Tiger Lily? You can see there are 5 flowers opened already and they are crowded as it is. I hate not having them taller etc with a longer stem on each bud to enjoy their beauty better. Any way at all to make the buds more spread out for display of the many flowers that are going to be on this one plant? Thanks all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I had never seen this variety before. I must have the Asiatic variety of this particular lilly growing in my yard. I do have some other lillies with this type of stem. I think they are called candy striped lillies. They do not have the big cluster of buds flowering at the top like yours do either. My guess would be that this is not normal, but it is a good thing. Yours are probably just extremely healthy. Maybe they will spread out next year and all be on separate stems. They are beautiful. Congratulations to you on such a unique variety. They weren't this way last year. This same flower had maybe 5 buds only. but I am okay with tons on one. I'll just cut them off for a vase is all. Thanks bunches. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Those are gorgious I love the color of them. You have so many nice veriety and colors of flowers. I know who to call now when I do end up getting my own house to do the flower arrangeing for the yard lol. You have given me so many good ideas on how I want to do this with all the assortments that you have. I just have they most of what you got here in those colors. I was never the one to be a gardener but I think you have just turned me in to one. I will have to start takeing down some notes on some of these and take your plan into action. Keep up the great work Grandpa Bob your the man.

Oh how beautiful! You could very well have a best selling book just by putting all your photographs of your plants together in one printing. How nice to be able to see such results from your labor. And it is especially nice of you to share them with us. I don't see pretty flowers like that all too often. : )

I don't think my photoas are all that good. But thanks bunches. I work hard on all my gardening and love seeing the results of the flowerrs or food anf fruit. It's a therapy session each day when I do this work. relaxing as heck also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I will comment on the photo when I leave here. I do love the tiger lilies. They are in bloom all over around here. Have you seen the purple lies with the yellow centers they are shaped like the tiger lilies. Some are even a brownish colored. They are pretty also.

Grandpa Bob I have never seen tiger lilies so full of blooms, these are awesome. I have no idea how to make them more spread out so guess you will just have to enjoy them as it. so pretty and so rewardingfor all you hard work. I used to love to garden but its hard for me now with all my handicaps. so I will just have to look at all your lovely flowers and dream a bit.
