What type of music did you grow up listening to?

I've always grown up listening to hip hop, rap, and r&b music as a child. Now that I've grown up a little, I still listen to it, but I have branched off into similar types of music. Now I listen to Calypso, a type of music that originated from the Afro-Caribbean slaves. My sister introduced reggae to me, which is similar to Calypso and also how I found the genre.
What type of music did you listen to growing up? Is it still your preferred genre?

I grew up listening to Bon Jovi, The Eagles, ZZ Top, John Cougar Mellencamp and many other bands related. Out of all the artists I still love and listen to Bon Jovi. I'm more of a rock person now and love various rock artists. I also love grunge, r&b, rap, pop,and ballads. I listen to more grunge music like Three Days Grace, Alice in Chains, and Bleak(FIN).
haha...yeah, I know.
But now, I'm into rock music...alternatives, hard rock and stuff like that.

I grew up listening to Sting and the POlice, Genesis, Men at work, etc. My older brother was into them and I listened to it b/c of him. But I listen to all kinds now....
