The TaTa Nano is a new fuel efficient car for only $2,500. It is a very little car and the most goofy looking car I have ever seen. I believe that it was made in India. My ex-boyfriend just told me about it and he wants to purchase one to save on fuel. It looks like a Volks Wagon beetle to me. I would love to buy one, if I could drive. Have you seen them, would you purchase one? http://tatanano.inservices.tatamotors.com/tatamotors/

yes tata nano is a much awaited car here in india. Although the prototype was on display but the car is yet to be launched for commercial sale. It is designed for the masses and would be surely is great demand when launched. I personally wont go for this car. The car is too small and i feel would not a safe vehicle to drive especially on highways. As far as fuel effeciency is concerned there are many fuel effecient cars avaiable here. Ford fiesta and hyundai verna are highly fuel effecient cars, much more than nano but the price tag is surely heigher.

I think that it would be perfect for me. It is not expensive, but it looks easy to handle because it is small. It would be cool to learn to drive in. I couldn't imagine getting on the freeways though. I certainly would not trust it for speed, it is too small, but cute. I hope that they do not raise the price when they see the demand for it.

Tata Nano Car - Here is the tata nano car's picture
Ya buddy. Its the much awaited car here in India. Its very cute and compact to look. The name 'Nano' was chosen as it denotes high technology and small size. People world over were keen to see what Tata Motors' People's Car looked like, and know more about it. The Tata Motors website saw nearly 7.9 million hits on January 10 (the day the Nano was unveiled), while the Tata Nano website saw 4 million hits in 30 hours, making these sites among the busiest in the world.

That sounds really cool and exciting for you guys. Is this the first India made car? I have yet to see one on the street out here. I suppose they have not come to America yet. I will start keeping my eye out for them. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rozie, Hmmmm... I don't think that I would ever buy one...it might be ok to just drive around locally since we don't have alot of traffic where I live, but I would be terrified to take it on the freeway especially with all the big semi trucks. On my way home from the store yesterday I saw something similar to the TaTa Nano...it was REALLY small like that but I think the body style was a little different. Don't know what it was.
