Some people are thinkers while some others are doers. What kind would be more valuable to a growing or developing nation? What kind are you? If given the chance to choose, what would you rather be?

I think when it comes to growing and developing a nation it is better to be a doer because that way things would actually get done,I would say that I am more of a thinker than a doer, and I am quite happy with that, and if I had the chance to change it so I was more of a doer than a thinker,I would still stay a thinker.

Yes, most thinkers seem to prefer to remain as thinkers if given an opportunity to choose.I don't know if one is better than the other. Maybe there is a need for bothtypes to be around otherwise we might have a lot of good ideas which never come into fruition because no one is around to put thm into action.

Yeah I agree most thinkers would probably choose to remain thinkers, and I do not think one is better than the other, but both are required to make the world go around,if you had all doers and no thinkers than the doers would be doing stupid stuff, and if you had all thinkers and no doers, nothing would ever get done, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I think both are needed, for every situation. I try to be both in most circumstances. I feel like I do a pretty good job of occupying both roles.

i think too much...so i am probably more of a thinker...but usually after i have thought about it for a while, and it makes sense to me, than i am a doer to make my dream come true.
so, i am a thinker first, than a doer...i choose what i do after i think about it for a while and decide if i want to do it or not...

I am both. I think too much and when I do something I will fight and insist for it. Means if I think of something in value it inspire me to work hard for it.

I guess almost all of us are both. But let's say there are those who are predominantly thinkers and those who are predominantly doers. Do you think one group would be more necessary to a developing nation or that both groups have to be present for an effective development plan and action

I am a thinker. I usually think things before doing them. Thinkers are much better than doers. They use their mind before actions. It is important in a nation to have a leader who thinks before taking action rather than acting without even thinking. Doers usually messes up while thinker often succeeds.

No, bianca0531. Let's not generalize by saying that thinkers are better than doers and doers usually mess up and thinkers often succeed. That's not true because if you only think and think but do not take action, you will usually fail and not accomplish anything. I rather think than even if a nation has a good thinker for a leader if there are no doers around, that the nation might fail because there is no one to put into action the good ideas that the leader would think up. I believe, we need both thinkers and doers and one without the other would be useless, in a person, it is good to be a thinker but at the same time, one must also know ho to be a doer so that one can transform into reality what he dreams up in his thinking.

well, i think both are valuable to a developing (and developed) nation. they have their own contribution to it. the most important is, they properly play their roles. me?
i think i am both
i will think first and then do what i thought.

Yes, generally everyone thinks and does and it is always better to think first before doing anything. And yes a person can be both a thinker and a doer but usually there is a more dominant trait between the two. So, what would be more valuable to a developing nation, those who have the more dominant trait of thinker or those whit the more dominant trait as doer? There may be good ideas generated by good thinkers but if there is no one who will do or act on this ideas then such good ideas will just be ideas no matter how good. on the other hand, if there are no thinkers to think up good ideas, the doers around would be useless even if they are good doers. What say you?

Oh Saverio, i know what you mean when you say you can't choose. It's true, we need both the thinkers and the doers and they are both important. You are a dreamer but if you act on your dreams you are a doer and if you think up good ideas on how to make your dreams come true yopu are a thinker. I hope you agree.

I'm clearly a thinker.I think you need a little of both. There has to be thinking before acting or else that would be one messed up act!And there should be equal amount of people who are good at thinking and coming up with good ideas and they can pass on their ideas who are good at shaping these ideas into reality. If i had a chance to choose,i'd still be a thinker because its something i'm extremely good at.

Now we're getting somewhere. i agree that there is a need for both kinds to be around and one of the other would not be so useful without the other. A nation with both good thinkers and doers would have a good chance of developing faster. It's clear you really are a thinker.

many people have many views on the topic you have started to discuss. but in my opinion you need to be first a thimker and then a doer to become a winner. the flow should be to think and then to act accordingly. and then this can be a success formula for any nation, any company, any family or any person.

I agree one has to think first before acting but does it mean to say everyone has to be a thinker first? or that thinkers are more valuable to a developing nation? But even if there are so many good ideas from thinkers if there are no doers, would such ideas be valuable to the nation?
