Do you pull funny faces when you shave?

I remember as a small kid, my father used to pull the strangest faces in front of the mirror whilst shaving. Then when it came to my turn to shave, he told me it was necessary to tighten up the skin and ensure a close shave. I recently realised that almost 10 years on, I don't really do this! Do you do it or do you think it's not necessary with today's razors?
