Everybody is telling that Nursing is not their choice course. In Philippines, we only choose this course it's because our mother told us to do so.. Well, some is not happy so they tend to sabotage their college life. I'm quite skeptic about other people telling that thay don't have inspiration and they are just pushed to pursue the course? what do you think? Kidly comment please.. thnks a lot. Chin (Registered nurse and still don't like nursing)

It upto to you that you like or you don't like nursing as you are the who is going to do that job finally and not others, why do you care for others word they are not goning to help for what you have done with your own hands. As what you had written i can understand that you are not intersted in nursing nd you are a registered nurse so why don't you do it this way try doing this job until you like it or until you find another good one that you like. always remember "Work Hard for what you like and if you don't you need to adjust with what you get". Good Luck.

I think if you don't want to be a nurse then you are going to be miserable! I was a nurse for 20 years and believe me when i say i did love it and was still miserable at times. Nursing is not a clean and tidy profession and there are just some people that are not cut out for it.

I strongly agree with you... It was never a good profession... Some people are just getting that course because of financial problem But if you are going to ask me it's not a good choice..

indeed, the trouble and bore cannot be relaxed by the even though that nursing is a respected and noble job.I also like the meaning given on this profession.especially the first founder woman,Nightingale.but it's on me that if I don't like the profession,I'm sure to not to choose it.for that I can't do it excellently

Nursing is a good profession for those that have that calling-i am one of those- that does not mean that there was days when i had to do things that caused my patient pain and i hated that part of it even though i knew that it was necessary for their own good in the end. I am a care giver by nature(sometimes i really hate that) and if you don't have that trait then you probably are not going to like nursing-ever! Some people are made for other things and that is good because if everyone was the same we would all be miserable and bored.

I would prefer to go on with my decision and pursue what I want to be... In life, we have to weigh things...I know of some who took nursing because their parents want them to nut the thing is, they do not have passion on what they are doing. As a result, they were not able to do good in school because of the fact that they do not like the course and their interest in not on that matter... My parents were trying to convince me either to take nursing but I prefer to stick with my interest. I love what I'm doing and I am enjoying what I am into now...

i had the same situation, my mom pushes me to take up nursing because it's in demand in abroad. but obeyed her. when i graduated college, i realized that my mom is right! i mean, i learned a lot of stuffs in nursing. being independent, thoughtful, caring and having concern for others. not just that, way back before college i'm kinda brat and dependent to my parents but now, i changed! im more assertive, responsible, and simple person. though at times, i had bad experiences but i learned. i'm quite sure that u'l have your own bad/good experiences.
