Shyness ?!?!

Shyness is a feature commonly seen in young and growing children. They are unable to communicate, share their views, show off their talents due to the so called shyness. But have you ever though, why there is shyness?? I have seen a discussion and a lady teacher said the shyness is due to the lack of self confidence among the children, he/she is afraid of doing something wrong and be embraced in front of all. The reason for this fear is (a) the loneliness. (b) the parents are not giving attention (c) the parents are not encouraging. (d) any natural deformity e.g unable to prononuce properly, unable to walk properly, or lack of one finger etc as it happens in few cases what you feel, why children are shy?
