What are some good part-time/ student jobs that are decent paying?

Hi, I want to know some part-time/ student job ideas that pay above minimum wage. Right now, I'm working retail for $7.50 /hr. but I would like at least $9/ hr. I'm not interested in fast food, I'm not exactly young, I'm a 24 year old nursing student, so flexibilty in schedule is important especially when school starts back in August. I hear waiting tables is a good job where you can make decent money in just a few nights a week, but I don't know if I want to depend on tips entirely or rude customers. I've also considered hotels, call centers, other retail stores i.e. target, best buy, walmart, etc. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

You are working and receiving $7.50 and need another 1.50 to makes it $9. Why don't you spend the other free time you have here in mylot and then you will make up that lost of $1.50. Remember the economy is very stiff and there are alot of people out there who are looking for jobs so the employers are trying to pay what they can to spread the money across. Stay in the job that you are in. Work good and maybe the boss will see your potential and rise it at a given time.

Yes, the economy is unpredictable right now. I am glad to have joined mylot, it will take awhile to make any decent earnings here though. I am researching online earning opportunities, but I will still need to work more, I may need to get another job. My employer has too many employees and cant give me more hours. I just dont like working for low wage, but I know there are jobs that pay less.
