I'm working to convert an auto transmission to manual and need to know the specific position that the new fly wheel needs to be bolted on in. It's balanced and there are six eaually spaced bolts to bolt in on but there are no alignment pins so it can go on in any one of the six. So basicly I need to know in what position do I bolt the fly wheel on in relation to the crank sheft position? Please help. Thanks.

I'm not an auto repair expert, but I have been kind of sneaky in finding out what I need to know when doing auto repair work. There are two sources that I go to when I need information. I go to the auto garage (in this case Ford) and ask the guys there for help...they very often are very happy to give information and diagrams. With the work you're doing, there might even be someone there who would be willing to help you out just for the experience! Second place I go is either to the High School or College auto class instructors. They might be willing to help you out just so that the students can learn from the experience. And again, you might find someone who could or would be willing to work with you just for the experience of doing the conversion.
I hope these ideas help, as a lady it might have been easy for me to get the help, but it also might be easier for a guy to get the assistance.
