Yes, it is true. Your favorite WEEKLY WORLD NEWS stories of the apocalypse, monster volcanoes, killer huricannes, man swallowing earthquakes, and other assorted disasters that could even include the END OF THE WORLD, are not gone. They have merely moved to ABC NEWS. Check out this link. http://abcnews.go.com/International/story?id=5301284&page=1 Are you happy the tradition of the WEEKLY WORLD NEWS lives on but sad that tradition is now in the main stream media? Or perhaps your feelings are different? What say you?

I do not watch ABC, and really I do not watch the news. Everything I want to know I can either find it out on the radio or the internet. I do not find it entertainment to find out all the was the world is going to end. If the world is going to end tomorrow their is nothing any of use could do about it. If I am going to watch new I am going to watch Fox News with Brit Hume.

I have to admit I watch ABC. ABC is the only TV station I can get, cable is not available, and I'm too cheap for a dish.

They're a bit slow with that one; FOX news have been scaremongering with it for months. Frankly, they're both a pretty bad at comedy news. If I want stuff that's made up to make me laugh, I read the Onion. If I want actual objective news, I go to the BBC's site.

Yes, the BBC isn't that bad. I first listened to it about 1967 on a home built kit shortwave radio. It is truely amazing how that technology has improved. The portable I currently use that cost $150 is better than any radio available in 1967 at any price. Now, the internet is making the old high power shortwave stations obsolete. You can get out the news with a few servers and a fair amount of bandspace for a tiny fraction of the cost of running a 500,000 watt radio transmitter 24/7. BTW: The Onion is great, we agree.

Their website isn't bad either, news.bbc.co.uk. Plus they stream the radio stations.

I must admit that I entertain the 2012 issue in my mind as a possible reality. I don't think anyone can know what is going to happen, or that there's anything we can do about it if something does. The end of the world means the end of the world. Why keep seeds if there will be nowhere to plant them? If it's going to happen there's no use worrying about it. It's better to make the most of every day now than worrying about the possible future end of the world. As for ABC news, everyone realizes that shocking and gruesome news tends to get the most ratings, so they are doing their jobs, but it does tend to feed paranoia in people who have the tendency toward it.

Just as I offered the SUV owners comfort and relief from their guilt due to them being responsible for destroying the planet by giving them the chance to leave their SUV's, keys, and title at my farm, I will make available solace for the anxiety ridden concerning the end of the world in 2012. Yes, it is true the rich will probably go to a horrible horrible place at the end times. Don't take the chance of being one of those with too much! Don't go to the horrible place. How much money is rich? There is no way to tell! So, why take the chance? All those worried about going to the horrible place should send all their money, sell all their worldly goods and send that money, too, on its way to redyellowblackdog in care of myLot who will put it in my paypal account. There you go. I am sure this can make anyone feel better that has concerns about 2012. Remember, with all that money people are sending me, I'm sure to go to the horrible place, but I'm willing to do that for my fellow myLotters. Save yourselves. Send your money to redyellowblackdog today. No need to thank me. Knowing you all will be going to the good place is all the reward I need. :-)
