Here's why we need the SENCOND ADMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION.

Yes, it is true.
The 2d admendment is not so hunters will always have access to guns. It is because of 'fake cops' and real cops or other government officials who abuse their authority with threats of lethal force. Think that never happens?
Here's a quote from an interesting story.
"Not only did they break in and threaten to kill people and violate their civil rights, they stole money, prescription drugs and legally owned weapons."
This is in reference to a 'fake cop' and some real cops who the 'fake cop' had fooled.

I have to tell you this is not the only case I have heard of police criminals terrorizing a town.

I think that was the original intent of the amendment, to provide protection from the abuse of power. We still need the protection today.

IMHO, you are completely correct. Reading the Federalist papers and other writings of some of the founding fathers makes it clear they did not trust official authority to be the only ones in control of weapons.
