My 4 year old granddaughter Kayla fell yesterday and skinned her knee. She is okay but man its like someone just killed her. And when she saw the blood oooohhhh boy! She didnt want me to clean it, or put a bandage on it and when I finally did all she said is 'that didnt hurt'. All I could do was laugh. I felt really bad about having to do all the things you HAVE to do to fix it up. Her big brown eyes just melt my heart. Later she came back in and was like I need your cane nana. I started laughing because she was trying her best to walk with a limp. It was so cute. Then after that she had her sister who is 5 help her come up the stairs, open the door and procede to tell me that I need to give her some tylenol. lolol. I just busted out laughing thinking about when I was a kid and getting skinned up knees and mom just putting a bandade on it and telling me to just go outside and play it will be fine. How does you little one act about skinned up knees now from when you were a little one?

My son make a really big deal out of any injury. You would think that someone was killing the boy every time he gets even the tiniest scrape. My daughter on the other hand acts like she is invincible. All 24 pounds of her.

Its so funny when they see that blood. Oh boy its over with now. I wish that the girls were a little more like your little girl. They have to be so dramatic. It is so funny sometimes.

bjbailey hi my mom used to put big bandaids on mine, give me some ice cream then tell me to go out and play. but you know when I was in my forties I went back to college, to the junior college, and one day I fell on my way to class, and myhusband insisted I go ahead and go to class , well it hurt so bad I could not believe it, and we went to the college first aid place where the college nurse put a huge bandaid on my knee after cleaning it and putting on antiseptic and then the air was off the skinned knee and it did not hurt hardly any. so I can sympathize with your granddaughter totally.I do think that the nerves in the knee are more sensitive than in other parts of your body. I had a bad fall two years ago andbroke my shoulder badly, and skinned my knee,in the ambulance my skinned knee stung so badly itactually hurt worse than my shoulder. lol lol.
