I thought my dog was making a weird sound.

So I'm sitting here on mylot and I hear this odd howling sound. I'd never heard my dog howl like that before...so I got worried and i get up to look and see why shes howling like shes reverting to a pup crossed with a coyote...and shes actually laying by my bed not making a sound. So the count continues. I get brave and find a flashlight to shine out the windows (ok im not brave i didnt go out the door) and with the flashlight pointed out the window and my nose mooshed against the glass... I see what looks to be a coyote pup sitting on my deck and howling. Those darn things are getting brave sitting on my deck. I wanted it gone so i opened the door and threw an old shoe at it. It ran away pretty fast. How brave would you be to check on the odd sound you might hear your pet making? or what you think is your pet making?

I'd be very brave and check on my dog, mostly because (like me) he is rather old Coyote pups are so cute, but this one was rather gutsy coming onto your deck like that. They do tend to run away quickly, just like a regular puppy dog.

Lol ironically i was just telling a friend on yahoo i don't think they're cute. That i think they're pests...always trying to eat my calves! It was very gutsy esp seeing as my cocker spaniel (hes old and deaf) was sleeping about 4 feet (right under the door) from where the pup was sitting. I'm not sure i like gutsy coyotes!

Now if they are eating your animals, that wouldn't seem to cute to me either! I used to see them all the time at work and pups are pretty playful most of the time. It's the parents you have to look out for, they are kinda grumpy sometimes LOL

It must back now my dog is growling at the door now. We've had them literally eat a calf AS its being born. and then start on the mom.
